Prayer of Spiritual Communion

In preparation for Mass:

Oh Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, My Mother, and Mother of St. Brendan Parish, please place in our hearts profound gratitude for the Holy Eucharist.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion:

(When Communion cannot be received or said during the day to increase the desire to receive the Eucharist.)

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

OUR LADY OF KNOCK NOVENA

AUGUST 8 – AUGUST 16
The feast of Our Lady of Knock is observed on August 17. Since she is the patroness of St. Brendan Parish and a prominent figure in our prayer garden, remember her novena in preparation for her feast day.  The Our Lady of Knock Novena begins on August 8 and goes through August 16.

Bishop Barron on Canceling Padre Serra

"Friends, the entire effort to erase the memory of St. Junípero Serra is from a historical standpoint ridiculous and from a moral standpoint more than a little frightening. When we see mobs of people tearing down and desecrating statues of a great Catholic saint, how can we not see the ugly specter of anti-Catholicism raising its head?"
