Dear Members of the CYO Community:
With Thanksgiving fast approaching, our CYO staff wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to the athletes, parents, coaches, commissioners, and officials who work together to serve God through the children in CYO. St. Paul beautifully described our sentiments when we think of you:
I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you, because of your partnership for the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
It is right that I should think this way about all of you, because I hold you in my heart, you who are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. Philippians 1: 3 – 7
I am frequently reminded that CYO is about memory making with and for children. The seeds of love and goodness that you plant in the lives of young people have the potential to nourish them for years to come. When young people learn that they are loved and capable of loving others through playing on your team and in your program, you have given a child a foundation that can last a lifetime.
As CYO continues in our 85th year, it is humbling to remember with gratitude the women and men who laid the foundation upon which we are still building. They helped to build their own legacy in CYO and the legacy of what CYO continues to do and be for children today.

They are among the many whose faith, love and service continues to give living memories to the children in CYO.
Please continue to pray, hope and work for all children in CYO. May we serve them with God’s love and mercy in our hearts as we share God’s many gifts with them. Happy Thanksgiving!
