SAVE THE DATE! - North Olmsted Homecoming Days Parade
Plan to join us on Sunday, August 28th for the North Olmsted Homecoming Parade and help represent St. Brendan to North Olmsted! The theme this year is Honoring Hometown Heroes. St. Brendan Parish and School will again have a float in the parade, and we’d love to have as many families as possible walk along with school families, parishioners and friends.
For those who have inquired, St. Brendan will not have a booth on the Midway this year as a result of too many conflicts with our school schedule (parent info. night, back-to-school Mass & activity fair). We will be back with a booth next year and will welcome your ideas and help!
If interested in volunteering, contrubute, or submit ideas email [email protected].
- An idea that promotes the theme
- A team of float builders
- Music to play on the float or the truck that will project loudly. It makes our parade walk more lively!
- Families and friends to walk in the parade on Sunday, August 27th!
Information for the day of the parade:
We will be assembling in the front parking lot of the NorthOlmsted High School (a new location for this year). Only floats may enter the High School through the main entrance off Burns Road. Participants can park in the back lot of the High School, off Revere Drive (take Butternut Ridge to Revere, and turn right into the parking lot near the end of Revere) and walk to the front parking lot where a volunteer in a bright yellow shirt can direct you to the St. Brendan location. We need to be lined up by 12:30 pm, with step-off at 1 pm sharp. Wear red shirts, if possible. If you are unable to march, consider cheering us along from the parade route down Lorain Road to North Olmsted Park.
