The Parish School of Religion (PSR) is a religious education program for students in 1st-8th grades who attend either a public school or a home school program.
For the 2023 - 2024 academic year, all PSR families have two program options to choose from:
Home School PSR (weekly lessons are completed by the student with parent supervision at home; two semester evaluation meetings with the DRE are held in-person or via Zoom in January and May).
Weekly In-Person Classes on Mondays from 7:00pm-8:00pm at St. Brendan School (classes are taught by parish volunteers and the DRE and other parish staff throughout the year).
PSR In-Person classes are possible because of the large volunteer staff of teachers, classroom aides, substitute teachers, and hallway volunteers (all adults working with children comply with the diocesan guidelines for child safety [VIRTUS]). Contact the Religious Education Office for more information about volunteering with PSR.
To assist the Religious Education Office with planning, all families should complete and submit their PSR registration forms no later than Monday, August 15, 2023.
